THE Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) presented to the candidates for the Presidency of the Republic, on Wednesday (29), a document with proposals that promote the advancement of national agriculture. The document “The Future is Agro – 2018 to 2030” was presented today (29) during a meeting with five candidates, held in Brasilia (DF).

The document points out bottlenecks and possible solutions on issues vital to agriculture. In logistics, for example, the sector lists 34 works on highways, railways, rivers and ports (list of works in annex) as essential for optimizing the flow of agricultural products in the next 10 years.

Among other priorities, industry representatives also suggest potential leaders: improvements in the legal framework and the creation of a more transparent regulatory environment (rural labor reform, land regularization, etc.) as a way of ensuring greater legal certainty in the field; prioritization of rural insurance; and support for public policies aimed at sustainable growth.

In addition to the CNA, the document was prepared by the Agro Council, a group representing 15 industry entities, in partnership with the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), and the Sugar Cane Industry Union (UNICA) .
