Production sector awaits withdrawal of decision banning glyphosate

The Federation of Agriculture of the State of Paraná (FAEP) released a note in which it awaits decision of the Regional Court of Brasília, ruling the decision of the 7th Federal Court, which prohibits the use of glyphosate-based pesticides in the country.

Entities of the rural producers and the General Law of the Union (AGU) try, legally, to annul the prohibition, until now without success.

In the statement, the FAEP states that it has information that suppliers of pesticides are looking for farmers, who purchased the products to remove them from vendor establishments by Saturday, September 1.

In the note, FAEP recommends that farmers comply with what was established in contract, as well as the need for agronomic prescription for their withdrawal from the seller’s establishment and do not hurry.

“It happens that if the products remain prohibited – in case of failure of the actions to annul the decision of the judge – the producers also will not be able to use in their plantations, under penalty of tax,” the statement said.
