Prices paid to producers in São Paulo fall by 0.72% in July

The IqPR – an index that measures the variation of prices received by farmers in the state of São Paulo – registered a fall of 0.72% in July 2018, compared to the previous month, according to the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IEA). The products that presented the highest increases were: rice (19.33%), milk (16.13%), banana nanica (7.37%) and orange for industry (5.71%).

In the period from August 2017 to July this year, the IqPR showed the highest increase in the month of May (2.17%). The largest fall, (-1.72%) occurred in the month of August. Negative variations were observed in August, September and November and July 2018. In the analyzed period, they lost value in their quotations: table tomatoes (-42.57%), beans (-27.15%), eggs (-22 , 29%), pork (-15.92%), sugarcane (-7.78%), coffee (-3.20%) and banana nanica (-0.70%).
