India’s sugarcane mills posted weak domestic sugar sales in January. 2.14 million tonnes were delivered last month, down from 2.25 million tonnes in the same period last year. In the accumulated between October 2017 and January 2018, sugar sales totaled 8.142 million tons, against 8.299 million in the same period of 2016/17.
