Precipitation has been growing in the sugarcane plantations of the Center-South. In the last five days, rainfall in the region totaled 46.8 mm on average. However, according to the climate monitoring carried out by the DATAGRO Consulting, the rains remain below the expected for the whole month. Until February 22, it rained 114.1 mm in the average, volume 39.7% below the normal climatological.
Considering the weather forecast until the end of this month, the volume of rainfall should end below the average. An average of 26 mm is expected for the Center-South, totaling 140.0 mm, while the normal index for February is 189.3 mm.
By March 7, rainfall should be concentrated in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná, with variations between 40.0 and 60.0 mm. Rainy weather is also expected for the western region of the state of São Paulo, with 35 mm.
In the coming days begins the period of floral induction in the Center-South (25 / Feb until 20 / mar). DATAGRO points out three climatic variables to be observed in this range: low temperature variation, precipitation greater than 200 mm and low solar radiation.
