In Mato Grosso, more and more industries have destined females for slaughter. In January, the participation of females in the state industries reached 48.33%. According to the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), this scenario encouraged the opening of several plants in recent months.
With more industries in operation, Mato Grosso started 2018 with a total slaughter capacity in slaughterhouses with SIF and SIE of 31.91 thousand animals / day, according to MPLS and IndeaMT data, and registering use of 53.37% in Jan / 18, value 10.02 pp higher than that seen in Jan / 17.
Despite having improved in the last year, the industries of the State still present a total idleness of 46.63%. Nevertheless, the expectation of an increase in the supply of animals and the growth history of Mato Grosso cattle raising has encouraged industries and there are already expectations for opening more refrigerators.
