The plenary of the Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday (28) a provisional measure (MP) that extends the term of adhesion of rural producers to the Rural Tax Regularization Program (Funrural) from February 28 to April 30, Brazil”.
The MP also creates a system of accumulation of the payments of the entrance in the program. The extension of the deadline was a claim of the producers who wanted more time to make the adhesion and pay the first installments of the refinancing of the debts. Now, the matter goes to the Senate.
The renegotiation of rural debts with the Federal Revenue Secretariat and the Attorney General’s Office of National Treasury was sanctioned by President Michel Temer in January, with vetoes of devices that, according to the government, could increase the fiscal cost for the Union.
