BNDES to support expansion of Iot in the field

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) will launch a program to support the expansion of the Internet of Things (Iot) in the countryside. This was revealed by Rafael Vizeu Mancuso, the bank’s director, at the opening of AgriFutura, an event of technological innovation for agribusiness, carried out by the Agriculture Secretariat of São Paulo (SP) last Saturday (03) in the city of São Paulo.

According to Mancuso, the program consists of a non-reimbursable resource line, which aims to provide financial support for the development of targeted IOT projects, especially the efficient use of machinery in the field, health security and the efficient use of natural resources and inputs.

The executive did not reveal amounts related to the credit line. According to Mancuso, the proposals should be submitted by April and the selection will be made in June. “We want to bring agtechs, rural producers and research institutes together,” he said.
