UFSCar launches post-graduate course on entrepreneurship in agribusiness

The Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) has open enrollment for a postgraduate course on entrepreneurship in agribusiness. The specialization aims to share techniques for those who want to undertake or grow in the sector, but need to have a systemic view of the business. The course addresses, for example, foundations of entrepreneurship, as well as the barriers encountered in the market. 

With notions in strategic planning, logistics and people management, students will learn to produce their own business plan, taking into account risk management in the venture. The curriculum includes topics such as agricultural policies, micro and macroeconomics, international market, production costs, taxation, accounting, investment analysis and public financing of innovations. The course also deals with startups, incubators and technology parks, as well as on database, agro-industrial biotechnology, marketing and consumer behavior.

Professionals in the areas of Agrarian Sciences, Economics and Administration with complete Higher Education can participate. Interested parties must register, through May 11, at www.cursoagroempreendedorismo.ufscar.br. The course starts on May 18 and lasts 18 months. The classes take place at the Pecege facilities in Piracicaba (SP), on Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., every 15 days.
