Agribusiness exports in Rio Grande do Sul ended February with above-average numbers. The billing with the shipment of the products reached US $ 811.8 million, 68.4% over the same month last year. In relation to volume, there was also growth of 80.8%. The data were released by the Foundation of Economy and Statistics (FEE).
Last month, the main agricultural products sent abroad were: soybean (US $ 297.9 million), meat (US $ 129.6 million), tobacco and its products (US $ 121.7 million), forest products (US $ 99.9 million) and cereals, flour and preparations ( US $ 45.9 million).
In the period from January to February 2018, the exports of the agribusiness from Rio Grande do Sul totaled US $ 1.6 billion, an increase of 37.8% over the same period of 2017. During this period, the dynamics of foreign sales were characterized (28.3%) and average prices (7.4%).
