The examples of aggregation of value in Brazilian agribusiness are still isolated facts, given the potential that the sector has. Rodrigo Lima, from Agroicone, a think thank specialized in agribusiness, gave a speech last Friday (16), in the city of São Paulo. “We need to expand the aggregation of value to the total landscape of Brazilian agriculture.”
According to Lima, the big rural producer / entrepreneur – due to the financial conditions – is able to turn himself on this issue, but the average and the small skid when it comes to value adding.
According to the expert, the Brazilian agribusiness needs to solve bottlenecks related to the expansion of technology in the field, land regularization and promote access to markets, in order to create a more favorable framework for the aggregation of value to agricultural products.
