Plan Safra: CNA defends resources of R $ 2.5 billion for commercialization

THE Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) forwarded to the federal government a document with the proposals for the Agricultural and Livestock Plan (PAP) 2018/2019. The entity defended R $ 1.2 billion in resources for the Rural Insurance Premium Grant Program, R $ 2.5 billion to support commercialization, in addition to the reduction of interest rates, following the fall in the Selic rate and inflation and the readjustment of minimum prices.

Among other demands, the entity also a specific proposal for the Northeast, with a program to coexist with drought, which includes measures such as insurance for silage and alternatives to the producer in case of water shortages during periods of water crisis. 

Other issues considered as priorities were better conditions for the Program for Construction and Expansion of Warehouses (PCA), Low Carbon Agriculture (ABC), and the Program for Incentives to Technological Innovation in Agricultural and Livestock Production (Inovagro), as well as financing for producers.
