THE Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) plus two operations to support the disposal of rice produced in the southern region of Brazil. 90 thousand tons will be offered in the auction for the Prize for Product Flow (PEP) and another 17 thousand tons for the Producer Payment Equalizer Award (Pepro).
Those interested in participating in Pepro must be enrolled in the System National Register of Rural Producers (Sican), including those that participate through cooperatives. In the case of the PEP, the purchase of the product by the cereal industry or traders must be carried out by producers who have registered in the System.
The value of the premiums will be announced by Conab up to two days prior to the trading session. According to the announcement, the auctioned product can not be destined to the states of the South, Southeast and Midwest, besides Maranhão, Piauí, Tocantins, Rondônia and Pará.
