Sales of agricultural machinery in the Brazilian market ended the first quarter with 7,500 units traded. The number represents a drop of 19.1% compared to the 9.3 thousand sold in the same period last year, according to data released today (05) by the National Association of Manufacturers of Automotive Vehicles (Anfavea).
Production in the segment was 37.3% higher in March, with 5.4 thousand units in that month and 3.9 thousand in February. In comparison with the 5,3 thousand units of March of last year the growth is of 0.4%. In the sum of the three months elapsed of the year the expansion is of 0.9%: 12 thousand units were manufactured this year against 11.9 thousand last year.
Exports up to the third month of 2018 were 2.9 thousand units, which represents an increase of 31.7% compared to 2,2 thousand last year.
