Exports of meat will have a new registration system

From today (12) exports of products and animal by-products submitted to the Federal Inspection Service (SIF), shipped to any terminals in the country, must be registered through the New Export Process and in the Single Foreign Trade Portal. The information was released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MPLS).

Registration is required and is valid for shipments of poultry, beef and pork from 410 companies, which in 2017 shipped US $ 14.9 billion. According to MAPA, with the new system, the exchange of information about the product to be shipped will be made electronically, without the need for paper issuance and conference, based on the exporter’s history. Exports will be classified in different levels of supervision, obeying risk management (green, yellow, red and gray, with green generating automatic load release and gray requiring investigation and auditing).

The new system should streamline foreign sales, as the process, which took several days, will be completed in a few minutes.

The MAPA also informs that exporters will have until July 2 to completely migrate their operations to the New Process of Exports of the Single Foreign Trade Portal. The current log modules will remain available only for queries and rectification of previously made logs. The shutdown of the former export systems will schedule available on the Siscomex portal.
