Soybean processing in Brazil reached 2,486 million tons in February, the last data available, considering a sample of 77% of the country’s industries, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove).
According to a survey by DATAGRO grain analyst Flávio Roberto de França Júnior, projecting this volume to 100% of the industries, oilseed processing in the period reached 3,229 million tons, against 3,058 million tons in the same month of 2017, a high of 5 , 5%.
In the period from February 2017 to January 2018, processing reached 42,312 million tons, a new record, against 39,967 million tons of the previous season.
