The Constitutional and Justice and Citizenship Commission (CCJ) of the Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday (18), the Bill (PL) 6442/13 that grants a discount discount on electricity tariffs on irrigated agriculture and aquaculture activities during Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays.
According to the Agencia Câmara de Notícias, according to the proposal, the discount will be for uninterrupted use of 40 hours, from 2 pm Saturday to 6 am Monday. For holidays, discounted use is valid for 24 hours.
Currently, the law that deals with the expansion of emergency electricity supply (10,438 / 02) authorizes the discount of the tariffs during 8:30 a.m., between 9.30 and 6 a.m. of the following day.
Tariff flags
The approved text brings a rule to standardize the discount on energy tariffs, with a ban on the use of tariff flags in consumption units belonging to the rural class.
The tariff flag system has three colors: green, yellow and red. Green indicates favorable conditions for energy production and there are no additional costs for consumers.
In the yellow flag the conditions are less favorable and the tariff is increased by R $ 1.50 for every 100 kilowatt-hours consumed.
In red charging, when the thermoelectric plants are in operation, the extra consumption doubles to R $ 3 per 100 kilowatt-hours consumed.
