It was published in the Official Journal of the Union (DOU) this Wednesday (18) the Law 13.606 / 18, which grants discounts on fines and reduction of interest for Rural Workers Assistance Fund (Funrural).
According to the president of the Parliamentary Front of Agriculture, Federal Deputy Tereza Cristina (DEM-MS), the approval of the Law is the guarantee of legal security that was lacking to increase membership of Refis. “The importance of this promulgation is that there has been a positive development. The vetoes were overturned and the producer took the fine, the individuals and legal entities were equivalent, with proportionality in the discount and also has important credits for the producer, “he says.
Membership with the payment of the first installment must be made by April 30. The new wording returns to the original text of the Law, sanctioned in January of this year and allows a discount of up to 100% of fines and attorneys’ fees.
The law also reduces the contribution rate from 2.5% to 1.7% for companies and 1.5% for individuals. The calculation is made based on the invoices issued by the producer and the value of the contribution will be consolidated on the date of the application made to the Federal Revenue Service. The remainder can be divided into up to 176 installments.
