Hiring of agricultural credit grows 9% in this harvest

The contracting of agricultural credit by medium and large rural producers reached R $ 101.92 billion between July 2017 to March this year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MPLS), the volume of funds released represents a 9.2% increase over the same period of the previous year.

The financial institutions released R $ 80.5 billion and R $ 21.4 billion for investment, which represents an increase of 5.6% and 25.9%, respectively, compared to the same period of the previous year. previous crop.

Disbursements of rural credit in the period totaled R $ 70.3 billion for agricultural activity and R $ 31.5 billion for cattle raising.

The signings made by the font Credit of Agribusiness (LCA) increased by 34.4%, reaching R $ 15.6 billion, of which R $ 7.1 billion went to costing operations, R $ 6.3 billion for commercialization, R $ 316 million for industrialization and R $ 1.8 billion for investments.

Between the lines of credit mainly by BNDES and Banco of Brazil, highlights were the applications in Moderfrota that reached R $ 5.6 billion, the Pronamp (National Program of Support to the Medium Producer Rural) with disbursement of R $ 2.9 billion and the ABC Program (Low Carbon Agriculture), totaling R $ 1.1 billion. Favorable performances were also recorded in Inovagro (Incentive Program for Technological Innovation in Agricultural Production), with R $ 716 million and in the PCA (Construction and Expansion of Warehouses Program), R $ 538 million.
