Tramita in the Chamber of Deputies Bill 9033/17 that creates a new tribute to finance organic agriculture in the country developed by small farmers.
By the deputy Roberto Sales (DEM-RJ), the Contribution of Intervention in the Economic Domain (Cide) Organic Products will focus on the invoicing of manufacturers and importers of agrochemicals and food additives.
According to Agencia Câmara de Notícias, the rate of Cide-Produtos Orgánicos will be 0.5% on the customs value of the import or gross revenue in the marketing operations of the manufacturers in the domestic market. The rate may be changed by presidential decree.
Also according to the proposal, the product of the collection will be destined to the formation of the Special Fund for Organic Agriculture. Bound to the Ministry of Agriculture and operated by Banco do Brasil, the fund will finance organic agriculture, developed by small farmers.
