Grain exports record record at Paranaguá port

Grain exports hit record at the Port of Paranaguá in April. According to information from the Paraná Export Corridor moved 2.2 million tons of grain, an unprecedented volume for the month.

The mark surpasses in 12,30% – or in 249 thousand tons – the highest volume ever recorded in the port of Paranaguá, when 2 million tons of grain were exported in August 2017.

Of the total cargoes operated in April, shipments of soybeans represent 1.8 million tons. The other 473 thousand tons are soybean meal.

PEPPER OF SAFRA– The estimate of the Operations Department is that the coming months, peak of the flow of the crop, the volume is even greater. From May to July, 8.6 million tons of grains are scheduled for export through the Export Corridor.

According to the terminals that operate through the complex, 6.9 million tons of soybeans and 1.7 million tons of bran should be shipped in the period.
