Deliveries of fertilizers in the domestic market reached 1,723 million tons in April, an increase of 24.9% in the annual comparison, according to data from the National Association for the Diffusion of Fertilizers (Anda). In the first four months, deliveries reached 8.060 million tons, an increase of 3.4% over the same period last year.
According to Anda, the national production of intermediate fertilizers reached 618 thousand tons in April, down 6.7% compared to the same month of 2017. In the first four months, production reached 2,478 million tons, a decrease of 4.7% in relation to the first four months of last year.
In addition, according to the association, imports of intermediate fertilizers reached 1.589 million tons in April, down 10.8% year-on-year. In the first four months, imports totaled 6,344 million tons, down 13.1% compared to the same period in 2017.
