By the historical series of the Caged, the Agropecuária presents smaller balance in October due to the seasonality. Specifically in 2018, there was an anticipation of the sugarcane harvest, leading the sector to contract more in the months of August and September.

When added to the data for this two-month period, this year’s result is well above that of 2017. Last year, the period between September and October had 110,991 hirings in the sector. In 2018, there were 195,069 more jobs (+ 75.75%).
