Deputies approve certification for family farming products

The Chamber of Deputies Commission on Constitution and Justice and Citizenship (CCJ) approved the creation of the National System for Certification of Family Agriculture Production, with the objective of identifying the products of the segment, creating an image associated with the production of family agriculture, and consequently, increasing consumer confidence, according to Agência Câmara de Notícias.

According to the text approved, the farmer will not be obliged to join the system and the certification of the products will be carried out by accredited public or private entities.

The seal of production of family agriculture has already been created by Executive Order of 2009. The idea of the project is to give greater legal certainty to this certification, by means of a law.
