Exports of agricultural products through the port of Paranaguá reached a record volume this year. From January to October, external sales of soybeans, bran, wheat and vegetable oil reached 9.2 million tons, up 13%, on the amount that was shipped throughout the year of 2017, informs the Port Administration of Paranaguá and Antonine (APPA).
The main product sold by the port was soybean, with 3,177,790 tons moved in ten months. The number is 15% higher than the accumulated of 2017 (11,409,189 tons).
Bran, wheat and vegetable oils: The movement of bran is already 7% higher than that registered in the previous year. There were 4.8 million tonnes exported in 2018, compared with 4.5 million tonnes in 2017.
Wheat exports exceeded 28% last year, with 216,787 tons between January and October 2018.
