ANTT announces a fine of R $ 5 thousand for those who fail to meet the freight table

THE National Agency for Land Transport (ANTT) will fine in R $ 5 the companies that to hire road haulage of less than the value determined by the table. According to Agência Brasil, the agency also studies the application of R $ 3 thousand for those who announce or broker the contracting of freight with a lower value than the minimum floor.

The proposals come from a public hearing, approved by the regulatory agency last week, whose documentation was presented on Monday (10) by ANTT. According to the regulatory agency, the hearing “aims to discuss additional measures to ensure compliance with minimum freight rates.”

Suggestions to the submitted proposal can be sent until 6:00 pm on October 10, through the form available at site of ANTT, by post or during the public hearing session, which takes place on October 9, at the headquarters of the organ, in Brasília (DF).

Last Wednesday (5), ANTT published changes in the minimum freight rate, after the readjustment, on August 31, of 13% in the price of diesel in refineries. The table considers the minimum price per kilometer, axle and cargo transported, in addition to costs.
