Through SUP / AOI Circular No. 46/2018, the BNDES created the “Program for the Composition of Rural Debts”, informs the Federation of Agriculture of Goiás (Faeg). However, the operation of this credit line requires the affiliated financial institution to join the BNDES, which has not occurred so far.
In a statement, the federation states that it understands that public financial institutions, such as Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF), have a moral obligation to join the Program.
Faced with this impasse, Faeg informs that it has sent offices to the regional superintendencies of the Bank of Brazil, CEF and also of Siscoob, so that these institutions can join the Program, which aims at the complete settlement of debts of rural producers or their cooperatives, by means of composition of debts. According to the federation, the issue is that the granting of this credit is linked to the adhesion of the accredited financial institution.
According to Faeg, the items subject to the benefit of the Program are the rural credit operations of cost or investment contracted until December 28, 2017, including those extended by authorization of the National Monetary Council (CMN); and debts owed to suppliers of agricultural inputs or financial institutions, including the issuance of Rural Producer’s Certificate (CPR) and Agribusiness Credit Certificate (CDCA).
In the statement, the federation guides the rural producers interested in recomposing their debts, which cover from the bank branches the availability of the rules for the contraction of the credit line.
