Brazil negotiates agricultural trade with Canada

By participating in the opening of the SIAL 2018 Fair, held in Canada, theExecutive Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA), Eumar Novacki with the Parliamentary Minister of Agriculture of Canada, Jean-CLaude Poissant.

In this ocasion, Novacki talked about the purpose of unlocking negotiations to expand exports and accelerate the Canadian analysis to open the market to Brazilian products, especially meats.

Brazil is negotiating the release of meat exports a few years ago with Canada, which should advance from this mission, believes the MPLS executive secretary. Canadian inquiries that were pending were answered and the mission received new demands from the Canadian authorities. A Canadian technical mission should be sent in the second half of this year to evaluate the Brazilian beef and pork system. Brazil already exports chicken to Canada.
