CNA says that credit for cafe recovery is great achievement

The National Monetary Council (CMN) approved, on Thursday (26), the release of R $ 150 million reais for the recovery of coffee cafe struck and hail rains. The decision meets a demand forwarded by the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil (CNA) and had already been approved by the Coffee Policy Deliberative Council (CDPC).

The appeal is a supplementation of the line expected in the Coffee Economy Defense Fund (Funcafé) for the recovery of coffee crops that have been damaged due to climatic weather.

“It is a great achievement for the productive sector and will be fundamental to helping Brazilian cafe surveys that have suffered with hail and rains of hail,” said the president of the CNA National Coffee Committee, Breno Mesquita.

According to Mesquita, the next step of the CNA National Coffee Committee is to discuss the availability of resources with the financial agents operating the Funcafé financing lines so that coffee growers have access to this credit as soon as possible.

The Commission’s technical adviser, Raquel Miranda, stated that these resources will allow producers to carry out the right handling of recovery of their crops without being discreetized.
