The list of crops supported by the Family Farm Price Guarantee Program (PGPAF), which will be entitled to a discount on the payment of installment financing in May, is already available. The list of 16 products was published in the Official Gazette of Tuesday (08), based on studies and research conducted by the National Supply Company (Conab) on market prices throughout the country.
This month, the biggest discount will be granted to small producers of cowpea in Mato Grosso, with a 63.31% bonus. The common garlic sold in Rio Grande do Sul will also have an expressive discount of over 50%, as well as the potato in Santa Catarina, with a reduction that reaches 46.37%. In addition to these crops, producers of açaí, rice in natural bark, babassu, natural rubber, cocoa almond, sugar cane, yerba mate, milk, passion fruit, honey, wheat and grapes will be entitled to discount.
The discount is granted by the federal government when the market value of the products contemplated in the PGPAF is below the guarantee price. Discounts are valid from May 10 until June 9 of this year.
