The National Company of Supply (Conab) will carry out a series of operations for the purchase of products, via electronic auction, on September 13, for the formation of food baskets. The objective is to recompose the stocks that are stored in the Company’s units and are regularly used for the nutritional security of special communities, such as quilombolas and natives. In total, more than 915 tons of food and 75,000 cans of soybean oil will be purchased.
Among the products to be purchased are 528 tonnes of rice benefited, 166 tonnes of beans, 52 tonnes of cornmeal, 37 tonnes of cassava flour, 75 thousand cans of soybean oil, 105 tonnes of crystal sugar, 68 tonnes of flour of wheat and 64 t of whole milk powder. These products must be delivered to Conab units located in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná and Santa Catarina.
To participate in the auction, the companies supplying the product should issue documentation on behalf of the participants. At the date of the auction, the participant must be registered before the Stock Exchange through which he intends to carry out the operation.
