THE Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) holds this week the restocking of private warehouses in the states of Santa Catarina and Paraná. The action is part of the census carried out by the Company and allow the collection of information such as identification, capacity and technical qualification of Storage Units.
In Santa Catarina, the visits begin on Thursday (19) and should cover 12 municipalities in the south of the state. In these places, the works will be focused on updating data, since the properties already have a cadastre. According to information from the last census carried out by Conab, the South Santa Catarina microregion, composed of 171 warehouses, total static capacity of 588 thousand tons, distributed in 16 conventional units with space for 40 thousand tons and another 155 silos with capacity for 540 thousand tons. In a next stage of the census in Santa Catarina, Conab should visit the deposits located in the mountainous region.
In Paraná, the census ends this Friday (20). The work began in the first week of this month and focused on the microregions of Paranavaí, Cianorte, Umuarama, Goioerê and Campo Mourão. The expectation is to complete the visits in 424 warehouses of the regions of the northwest and western center of the state. The Company’s technicians have already registered 805 warehouses in the central north and southeast of the state of Paraná. Paraná is the second largest store in the country, with approximately 18% of the national static capacity.
