Technicians from Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) started on Tuesday (28) to determine the production costs of corn, beans and wheat crops produced in the municipalities of Francisco Beltrão, Cascavel and Assis Chateaubriand. The measure continues until the 30th of this month and aims to update the prices paid by producers in the cultivation of these products.
The technical visits will bring together the various segments that make up the grain production process, among producers, engineers, workers’ representatives and technicians of the research bodies, in order to discuss production costs.
In Francisco Beltrão and Assis Chateaubriand the focus of the work will be corn, already in the municipality of Cascavel the analyzes will be focused on beans and wheat. The study also takes into account the costs of labor, forms and stages of services, agricultural implements, pesticides, fertilizers, seedlings, and machinery.
The values obtained in the surveys carried out by Conab are used to subsidize the governmental proposals for actions of the Minimum Price Guarantee Policy (PGPM) and the Price Guarantee Program for Family Agriculture (PGPAF).
