The government of Mato Grosso do Sul changed rules of the Stimulus Program for Export or Import by the Ports of the River Paraguay (PROEXPRP). The measure approved last Thursday (19), aims toincrease the sale of grain produced in Mato Grosso do Sul to other countries.

Approved in 2016, the program establishes the equivalence for the grains exported by Porto Murtinho, Corumbá and Ladário, thus for each ton of soybeans and maize for export it was established the commercialization of the same amount in the domestic market. With the new publication, the State Government flexed the counterpart for those who already exported last year.
With the change, 5% of everything that the company exported last year, it can export by Ponta Porã without the equivalence charge in 2018. But if the company exported last year by Porto Murtinho, Corumbá or Ladário, it will have the discount of 7.5% on everything she sold to the foreign market in 2017.
For the president of Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State (Famasul) Maurício Saito, the change promotes more competitiveness for MS. “The amendment brings an equivalence in relation to to the states that are our competitors, and that do not have the parity mandated by the Kandir Law, and automatically provides greater profitability to what we produce in the state, “states the president.
