The Mato Grosso Institute for Agricultural Economics (Imea) increased the estimated Gross Value of Agricultural Production (MOP) in Mato Grosso in 2018 by 3.6%. According to the institute, the state’s VBP is expected to reach R $ 65.14 billion.
According to Imea, positive revisions in crop projections for soybean, maize and cotton crops were the main factors for the increase, as well as the greater prospect of slaughtering in the poultry sector.
