The Food Price Index of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) registered a rise of 1.1% in February compared to January, reaching an average of 170.8 points.
The appreciation of the prices of dairy products and cereals was the main factor for the growth of the indicator. The prices of vegetable oils and sugar fell, while meat prices remained stable.
In turn, for the same period of 2017, the index fell by 2.7%.
