New Delhi Declaration highlights relevance and commitment to biofuels expansion

The member countries of the Innovation Mission and the Biofuture Platform reaffirmed, in a final document of the International Conference on Sustainable Biofuels held in New Delhi (India) this week [Monday (26) and Tuesday (27)], the commitment to intensify mutual collaboration in research, development, deployment and expansion of sustainable biofuels as key products for mitigating climate change, ensuring energy security and promoting economic development worldwide.

Brazil, Canada, China, India, Finland, Mexico, Netherlands and Paraguay are the member countries of the Innovation Mission and the Biofuturo Platform.

The Brazilian delegation was formed, among others, by Miguel Ivan Lacerda, director of the Department of Renewable Fuels of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME); Antônio Alberto Stuchi, executive director of technologies and projects at Raízen; and the civil society member of the National Council for Energy Policy of Brazil (CNPE) and president of DATAGRO Consulting, Plínio Nastari.
