Sales of agricultural machinery fall 15% in May in annual comparison

Sales of agricultural machinery reached 3.3 thousand units in May, down 15.8% year-on-year and 20.6% compared to April’s results, according to figures from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Anfavea) this Wednesday (06). 

The total number of machines sold in the first five months of the year reached 15 thousand units, down 9.3% compared to the same period in 2017. According to Anfavea, manufacturers produced 4,6 thousand machines in May, 7.3% in relation to April and 19.6% in the annual comparison. 

In the first five months of the year, 21.6 thousand units were produced, down 4.5% compared to the same period in 2017. According to the association, exports in May totaled 5.1 thousand units, up 12 , 7% in the annual comparison.
