A bill (PLS 341/2013) approved by the Senate Environment Commission foresees the rational and integrated use of water in agriculture and aquaculture.
According to the “Senate Agency”, the proposal establishes priorities in the authorizations for use of water resources and for the sale of production to the government.
The commission’s rapporteur, Senator Cidinho Santos (PR-MT), stresses that the idea is to encourage water use, but in a sustainable way.
