The President of the Federal Senate has informed that one of the priorities of the Congress for the next week is to vote the vetoes to the Fund of Assistance to the Rural Worker (Funrural). According to the Senate, the joint session to analyze the vetoes is scheduled for next Tuesday (03). Another session is also scheduled for the 10th.
The law with the vetoes to the Funrural was sanctioned by the president Michel Temer in January. Among the parts of the partial veto is the pardon of fines and charges on the debts of the producers. Another section vetoed the reduction of employers’ contributions to Welfare. According to the original bill, the lowest contribution would decrease from 2.5% to 1.7% of the revenue from the marketing of products.
