THE Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) is preparing to announce the launch of Agricultural Traceability System CNA Brazil (Agri Trace), a system developed by the to carry out the management of traceability protocols for voluntary adherence of the beef production chain.

“The system uses official data on the registration of rural properties and traffic control of animals, allowing the elaboration of private protocols, to meet specific import market requirements,” CNA explains in a note.
Producers, as well as meatpackers, who are interested in supplying meat under the conditions laid down in the private protocols, must undertake to comply with the requirements and follow the established rules.
Agri Trace will also bring transparency to buyers through monitoring and control panels that will show the amount of producers and slaughterhouses that are willing to meet the requirements of that market, in addition to the amount of animals slaughtered in a given period.
